Dragon Wheels Restorations 1968 Shelby GT500KR
An original unrestored 1968 Shelby GT500KR, recently arrived from the USA. A very genuine car with very high integrity bodyshell, older paint and unrestored interior. Detailed inspection showed much of the correct driveline still in place but with certain pieces [smog system/pcv system missing] but generally mechanically tired but original.
Undergoing an very detailed underbody refinish back to Factory specs. with any missing detail items found and refitted. Upon inspection of the cars external structure with some of the rear internal trim removed, evidence came to light of a very old accident and repair, probably completed when the car was quite new. A decision was made to re-repair local areas to a higher standard and make good other small sections of body originally marked by this old accident. This repair work has been completed and the cars shell now fully detailed and repainted in its correct Lime Gold.
